Days to RecordIn the Regular Programming mode, the "Days to Record" is automatically set to the number of days specified in your General Preferences though you can alter it during programming. In the Advanced Mode it initially shows whatever is currently in the monitor; you can specify any number of days to record up to the maximum. When you are not using Rest Time Compression, the maximum recording time is precisely determined by the Recording Interval and the StepWatch memory, which are both known quantities. At one minute intervals this is 22 days. When you are using Rest Time Compression, the actual maximum recording time is influenced by the Recording Interval, the StepWatch memory and your subject's activity level. The less active your subject is and the more long rests they take, the longer the StepWatch can record. The StepWatch software estimates this maximum using the Percent Active Time setting in the General Preferences as a guide. For very inactive subjects, the StepWatch will be able to record for nearly the theoretical maximum time. For very active subjects, the recording time will be shortened, but will never be less that the maximum shown when the Rest Time Compression is OFF. When using 1-minute Recording Intervals with Rest Time Compression ON, and percent time active set at the default 35% it will record for 50 days. Advanced Start Topics Help Home |
